Chapter President’s Welcome Message

I bring you greetings from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Mu Zeta Chapter, Manhattan.

Since our Sorority’s inception on the campus of Howard Universityin 1920, our members have been dedicated to serving our communities, displaying scholarship through educational endeavors, honoring the highest levels of sisterhood while living the ideal of Finer Womanhood. Education being an entity which is lifelong, Delta Mu Zeta chapter stands tall in her commitment to provide scholarship opportunities to young women who want to attend college. We mentor and provide living examples through our over 70 members in the chapter, whose careers span from educators, financial advisors, attorneys, and health practitioners; many having earned advanced academic degrees. As our organization approaches our 100th anniversary, we are reminded of our Founders, who were collegiate women and fully understood the place which higher education holds, as it is essential to growth and enlightenment in our society. Delta Mu Zeta chapter, a thread in the fabric of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated remains steadfast in our Founders’ principles to pay it forward. We are poised, as leaders in the 21st century to make sure the next generation has a seat at the table by earning their degree.

About Us

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is an Action Oriented, Community Conscious Organization. Delta Mu Zeta Chapter has been servicing the Manhattan, NYC Community since 1950.

A Few of Delta Mu Zeta Chapter’s Service Highlights:

  • Hosted a Fire Safety Workshop at Alice Kornegay Senior Center
  • Donated and Distributed over 100 Blankets of Love to Homeless individuals in NYC
  • Engaged in Elder Care at Alice Kornegay Senior Game Day
  • Donated 50 Luggage Pieces to children in Foster Care & Provided a Monetary Donation
  • Donated 157 Children Books to Parent 4 Parent
  • Donated Blessing Bags of Toiletries to Homeless Individuals in NYC
  • Donated over 1500 Toiletries to Child, Inc
  • Donated over $6500 to March for Babies Fundraiser
  • Donated 50 First Aid Kits
  • Donated bags of Feminine Products
  • Donated monetary funds to UNICEF for Haiti Hurricane Crisis
  • Donated monetary funds to Louisiana for Flood Crisis
  • Hosted Social Action Voter’s Registration Campaign- Registering over 164 individuals to vote in NYC
  • Donated Toiletries and made a Monetary Donation to Women Veterans Rock
  • Volunteered at registration and walked in the Percy Sutton Walk
  • Donated Dresses & Assisted Students in Preparing for Prom at our Prom Dress Giveaway
  • Volunteered at registration, snack tent, and walked in the March for Babies Fundraiser

Scholarship

The Delta Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Scholarship Fund Incorporated was established on July 19, 2005. Our scholarship fund is exempt from Federal Income Tax deductions under
section 501(c)(3) of the official Internal Revenue Code. Our Scholarship Fund was created to provide scholarships for educational purposes. By making a donation to our Blackout Scholarship Gala and Auction, your contribution may be deductible as charitable contributions Federal Income Tax return.
